We invite you to join veterans, active duty personnel, and new recruits at the Beverly Hilton Hotel as we celebrate Veterans Day, on Friday, November 11.
It is the 8th annual Salute to Veterans Day Breakfast – a time for all of us to acknowledge the sacrifice and contribution our fellow Americans who joined our Armed Services have made to the well-being of our great country.
Annually, this event gathers notable film and television stars, prominent members of Corporate America, along with a full contingent of U.S. military active duty members and veterans. This year celebrity attendees include; Justin Chambers, Robert Patrick, Connie Stevens, Gerald McRaney, Lindsay Wagner and more. They all are honored to serve as witnesses to the swearing-in of our special guests, young men and women recruits into all five branches of the U.S. armed forces.
This year we salute the USO on the occasion of its 75th anniversary of offering support and entertainment to the millions of Americans who have answered the call. We do so in gratitude of their commitment to continue to be there for this new cohort of recruits and their comrades across the country and the globe. The USO will be accompanied by its very own, ‘USO Show Troupe‘ as they perform a diverse repertoire of morale-boosting musical entertainment for active duty military, their families, veterans and all those in attendance.
At the 2015 Salute to Veterans Day Breakfast event we honored Ann-Margret with the Charles Durning Patriotism Award for her outstanding support of veterans. Last year’s Durning Award winner was Gary Sinise, an avid supporter of our military and our veterans.
We will also present the Tommy Lasorda Award to a major supporter of veterans in the world of competitive sports and the Louis Zamperini Award to disabled veteran business owners whose achievements reflect the inspirational life of the Army veteran that the award is named for.
We are honored every year to host the swearing-in ceremony of more than one hundred young men and women who are joining the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Marine Corps, and the Coast Guard, following in the footsteps of our veterans to take up arms in defense of the nation. It’s a tradition that Hollywood celebrities join us as we welcome America’s newest warriors into active duty.
