2016 KTP Across America Recap 2015 KTP Recap
This two-day business-focused event held each May features prominent and inspirational keynote speakers, and offers educational workshops, a business expo, matchmaking with prime contractors and state agency buyers, and a variety of valuable tools and business resources.
Attendees make valuable connections and have unprecedented opportunities for premier face-to-face networking opportunities. More than 700 attended KTP 2014 at which disabled veteran business owners were joined by companies seeking to work with them and other corporate sponsors, including Southern California Edison, Union Bank, AT&T, Lockheed Martin, Chevron, and Robert Half.
“Keeping the Promise” keeps alive President Abraham Lincoln’s call “to care for him who shall have borne the battle” in his second inaugural address a month before the Civil War ended. For the Alliance, a century and a half later, that means assisting disabled veterans as they successfully transition back to civilian life through entrepreneurship.

This annual celebratory event honors the service of all veterans — past, present and future — as well as others who have made significant contributions to helping our veterans. The events draws a roster of film and television notables, prominent members of Corporate America, and a full contingent of U.S. active duty members, new recruits and military veterans to pay tribute to our nation’s defenders. The presence of VIP and celebrities boosts the morale of new recruits who are sworn in en mass to all branches of the U.S. armed forces in an exclusive ceremony featured at the event.
In 2014, award-winning actor/producer/musician Gary Sinise received the Alliance’s annual Charles Durning Patriotism Award, presented by Kelsey Grammar. Also, Boxing Hall of Fame member, Carlos Palomino, received the Tommy Lasorda Veteran Service Award highlighting his support for all who served, presented by Tommy Lasorda himself. The awards were presented by Lasorda before a crowd of more than 425 guests and celebrities.

Join the DVBA to network with other large and small businesses involved in the construction industry. This event is focused on Disabled Veteran and Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Contractors and Subcontractors as well as local veterans interested in the construction business are encourage to join us. Additionally, we invite you to bring any veterans separating from the service in the near future who might be thinking about working in, starting a new business pr buying a business in the huge construction industry.
Resource partners include government agencies and large prime contractors, along with finance, business education, and training experts. Veterans can learn directly from experts on how to work with the many types of construction contractors. Established DVBEs and SDVOSBs can discuss business opportunities with prime contractors and municipal agencies.
